It’s been a while since the last Salmon update, but this one is not just about fixes!
Salmon Duo lacked an extra bold variant, compared to the Sans and Serif styles. So I flexed my index finger muscles and created a new variant that looks thick, solid, tight.

But wait, you may not know what a duospace font is? It is almost like a monospace font, except some characters are a bit larger and allowed to escape the rigid "grid" of real mono fonts.
The wider characters that suffer the most from the width constraints are typically the « m » and « w », ligatures like « œ », some symbols like "@" , or even sometimes common letters like uppercase "K" or "N".
In a duospace these characters look better, less cramped. It is subtle but I think text blocks set in a duospace typeface look more natural compared to true monos.

If you want to get the feel of a mono and your project doesn’t require an actual monospaced typeface, a duospace is a beautiful alternative.

For pixel fonts, a duospace also offers more freedom as we don’t have to keep the same width for every weight. Below you can see how "m" and "w" required creative, though not very pretty, solutions for Salmon Mono Bold. Another side effect is that it looks bolder but also narrower than Salmon Mono regular. And of course, there is no way I could design an extra bold variant at such a tiny width.

This is where Salmon Duo shines, with its consistent look across weights and its nicer wide characters.

- New weight: Salmon Duo Extra Bold
- Redrawn "*" in all weights of Salmon Duo
- Redrawn "m", "w" and "W" in Salmon Mono Bold
- Thicker "æ", "œ", "Æ" and "Œ" in Salmon Mono Bold

Fixes:
- Harmonised middle bar on "3" in all variants
- Middle of "Y" was too low in Salmon Serif Bold, Sans Bold, Sans Extra Bold and Serif Narrow Bold
- Middle bar of "w" was too short in Serif Narrow Regular
- Incorrect style for "¿" in Salmon Mono Regular
- Mispositioned "}" and "‹" in Salmon Mono Regular
- Ñ was too large in Salmon Mono Bold
- Mispositioned "{", "]", "‹" and "›"in Salmon Mono Bold
